Privacy

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and does not track you. It collects two things, and only if you give them: the email address you leave on “The next book” tag, and your anonymous review of the book.

What your address is for

To tell you when Bea Kirkbride’s next books come out. It is never sold or lent to anyone.

Legal basis

Your consent, given when you fill in the form (UK and EU GDPR, Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time: every email has an unsubscribe link.

Service provider

Your address is stored with Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), a French company acting on our behalf. See Brevo’s privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your address, or object to its use, by writing to beakirkbride (at) gmail.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority: the ICO in the UK (ico.org.uk) or the CNIL in France (www.cnil.fr).

Your review of the book

When you review the book, we record your rating, your choices, your favourite nights and your comment, without your email address. Please don’t include personal details. To limit abuse, an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address is kept for an hour at most, then deleted; the address itself is never stored. Your browser also keeps a marker (local storage) so you can change your review; you can clear it at any time.
